The Cross‐disciplinary Healthcare Innovation Partnership at Stanford (CHIPS) brings together students/trainees from across the Stanford campus to build interdisciplinary connections and catalyze innovation in healthcare. Our healthcare‐focused networking dinners lead to long‐term connections between students and postdoctoral/clinical trainees in the Schools of Medicine, Engineering, Humanities and Sciences, Business and Law. We take a novel approach to networking by bringing together around 100 students/trainees from different schools in groups of 8 with each group focusing on a different field/aspect of healthcare and each student/trainee bringing his/her own expertise. This format fosters a strong bond between the attendees in each group. We also host smaller events focusing on segments of the healthcare field, as well as brainstorming events to drive innovation. CHIPS works closely with multiple student organizations in each of the Schools, including BioLaw, BioMASS, Bio-X, and the GSB Health Care Club.
